The Queen has allegedly cut off Meghan Markle’s access to the Royal jewels
Ever since Meghan Markle came into the Royal Family it has been reported she has been upsetting senior members. Well, now it seems her behavior has finally gone and upset the most important person in her new family, The Queen. There is one person you really shouldn’t mess with when it comes to royal affairs, and that’s Queen Elizabeth II.
She has sat on the throne for 67 years and shows no signs of giving it up anytime soon. The Queen has done everything in her power, which is considerable, to protect her status and those next in line to sit on the throne. Many believe Meghan’s behavior is undermining the legacy of those getting ready to sit on the throne in the future and critics think she should learn her place.
Meghan’s role in the family is to support the others, not become the star of the show. Now it seems The Queen is fed up with it and she has reportedly cut Meghan’s access to the Royal jewels.
Kicking up a fuss
There have been many reports coming out of the UK about Meghan and how she is failing to follow royal protocols. Some argue that if she didn’t want to have this life then perhaps she shouldn’t have agreed to marry into it.
Kicking up a fuss
After all, it’s not like Prince Harry was able to keep his Royal Family a secret before he proposed to Meghan. Critics of Meghan believe she should learn to accept that the rules are the rules and if she can’t follow them then she knows where the door is.

The Royal Collection
Typically The Queen allows members high up in the Royal Family to wear some of the famous jewels from her collection. These are pieces of jewelry that have been collected over the years and have passed on from generation to generation. Some of the most important royals in history have worn these jewels so they can’t just be loaned out to any old person.
The Royal Collection
The Queen gives members of her family special permission to wear them, but she can also take that privilege away. That’s the joy of being Queen, what you give away with one hand you can take it back with the other. Meghan initially had access to the Royal Collection, but The Queen has reportedly revoked that privilege.

A natural order
One thing that is of the utmost importance to The Queen when it comes to her family is maintaining order. She is the head of the household, with Charles below her, and William below him. Those are the next people to sit on the throne following her, and they must be seen to have a high standing within the family.
A natural order
A senior palace insider told The Sun’s Dan Wootton that no matter how popular Meghan is in the world, within the family “she is of a lower rank than Kate.” As Kate is Married to William, she cannot be seen be below Meghan in any situation, but some fear that’s what is happening.

Upsetting The Queen
The palace insider went on to say that Meghan’s behavior, especially as a new member of the family, has left The Queen unimpressed. A lot has been going on behind the scenes at the palace, and many sources from within the walls are claiming there is a big rift.
Upsetting The Queen
Meghan is thought to be at the heart of it as the two princes are understood to be butting heads. All of this internal turmoil has forced The Queen to step in and do what she can to make sure the order is maintained. She is in charge of the Royal Collection, which has been assembled over 400 years, and she is deciding to prevent Meghan from accessing the fancy jewels.

Spreading the news
Not only has The Queen banned Meghan from using any of her jewels but she also personally informed Prince William of her decision. Apparently, this news didn’t go down so well with Prince Harry, and it has reportedly sparked yet more tension between the two brothers.
Spreading the news
The goal of the monarchy is survival, and The Queen has made this tough decision to upset Harry, but in her eyes, it’s all for the preservation of the family. Kate will sit alongside William when he is King, and she has been given pretty much complete access to Elizabeth II’s collection. It is at The Queen’s discretion who gets to wear her jewels, and for now, Meghan has no hope.

Is it petty?
Some critics believe The Queen’s actions have been a little childish, but it is up to her how she shares her property. If banning Meghan from wearing her jewels will help to restore the natural order of things then it seems The Queen is more than happy to make that call.
Is it petty?
It might seem a little petty on the face of things, but it looks like a power move form the most powerful family member as a gentle reminder who’s boss.

Diana’s jewels
In The Queen’s Royal Collection of jewels she has some of Princess Diana’s most iconic pieces. As it stands Meghan has been banned from wearing any of Diana’s pieces in the Royal Collection, something which has most likely upset Harry deeply.
Diana’s jewels
Meghan’s difficult demands have reportedly worn everyone down over time, and this is how The Queen is choosing to fight back. Maintaining the correct order is seemingly all The Queen cares about at the moment as the rumor mill is rife with stories about Meghan.

Wearing Diana’s jewels anyway
It’s not all bad for Meghan though as some of Princess Diana’s personal jewelry was handed out to both Harry and William after she passed. Those in Harry’s possession have already been made available to Meghan, and she was spotted wearing Diana’s ring on her wedding day.
Wearing Diana’s jewels anyway
It has been reported that some of Diana’s diamonds even made their way into the engagement ring Harry proposed to Meghan with. The Queen might stop her from wearing some of Diana’s jewels, but she won’t stop Meghan from wearing her engagement ring.

Queen making decisions for Meghan
The Queen deciding what Meghan can and can’t wear isn’t something new and she had to put her foot down over the royal wedding in 2018. Meghan had her heart set on wearing an Emerald encrusted tiara from the Royal Collection and reportedly demanded she be allowed to wear it.
Queen making decisions for Meghan
That was before The Queen got news of her demands and said Meghan would wear what she told her to. Needless to say, Meghan didn’t get the tiara she wanted as The Queen opted for something different.

Kate is more important
As far as The Queen is concerned, Kate Middleton is the most important between her and Meghan. Kate is the future Princess of Wales, and that means she gets to wear pretty much whatever she wants from the Royal Collection.
Kate is more important
That includes all of the jewelry worn by Princess Diana when she was alive. It might feel like salt in the wound for Meghan, but this is all part of her learning where she stands among the family.

Kate’s favorite piece?
One item of jewelry Kate has been spotted wearing more than once is the Cambridge Lover’s Knot tiara. It was once famously worn by Diana, and now Kate is carrying on the tradition of wearing the expensive item to exclusive royal events.
Kate’s favorite piece?
Diana wore the tiara back in 1983 and Kate emulated her late mother-in-law by wearing it to a Buckingham Palace bash in 2018. Trying to emulate Diana is not an easy feat for Kate, but we’d argue she was just as radiant as William’s mother.

Tensions not going away
Meghan has been the subject of the media recently, and whether she’s trying to or not, she has been outshining Kate. Add the fact she is reportedly very demanding from within the walls of the palace, and Houses Sussex and Cambridge seem to be at odds with each other.
Tensions not going away
The two brothers have made the move to split their household into two and Harry reportedly moved house as part of the split. Some believe Meghan has been trying to radically modernize the palace and that’s why tensions are so high.

Changing the game
Since Meghan became a part of Harry’s life, the rules have been changing to suit her. For instance, she was invited to spend Christmas with the Windsors before she married Harry, an invite that Kate had to wait until the ring was on her finger for.
Changing the game
She has been spotted wearing clothes that do not follow royal protocol and has been wearing dresses that expose her shoulder while also no wearing tights. They seem like petty rules, but that’s what she agreed to when marrying Harry.

Modernizing
The Queen is no stranger to trying to modernize the monarchy. When she took over from her father in 1952, the world was a very different place, and she helped change it. The Queen gave power back to many of the countries the British Empire had once ruled over, and she was praised for it.
Modernizing
She knows things take a while to change and needs Meghan to understand her behavior is not going to change the system overnight. Meghan might be better served trying to get senior royals on her side.

Choosing from the Royal Collection
The one person who has the entire Royal Collection of jewels at their disposal is Queen Elizabeth II. She, as the ruling monarch, has the honor of choosing who gets to wear what, and what she herself would like to wear.
Choosing from the Royal Collection
The collection is more than just jewelry though, and it also contains artworks, furniture, and costumes. All of which The Queen is able to pick and choose from whenever she wants, including some pieces that pre-date the Renaissance era.

A dilemma
For The Queen, it must be a difficult choice picking what to wear at any given event. With so much choice she really has to consider the perfect jewelry to go with her outfit. It’s like trying to pick something from the Netflix catalog, there is just so much choice that you spend longer choosing something than actually watching.
A dilemma
The Queen has some of the most iconic pieces of jewelry ever made, and if those don’t satisfy her, she can always rock the crown jewels.

Unmatched jewelry box
Kings and Queens have been gifted many things over the years, and mostly all of them were super expensive and custom built. The Queen hasn’t been shy in wearing some of those iconic pieces over the years, and this is just one of the many beautiful items she has worn.
Unmatched jewelry box
The Burmese Rubies tiara was gifted to Elizabeth II by the people of Burma as a wedding present. It is set with 96 rubies, and she has since worn it with great pleasure.

Japanese pearl choker
One item that has been passed around the Royal Family is this Japanese pearl choker. The Queen first was gifted it by the Japanese government during the 1980s, and she hasn’t been afraid to share it with her relatives.
Japanese pearl choker
Not only did Princess Diana wear the choker during her time in the palace, but Kate Middleton has also worn the choker. Kate borrowed the piece for The Queen and Prince Phillip’s 70th wedding anniversary. There are four strands of pearls with a diamond clasp in the middle to hold it together.

Russian Fringe Tiara
When most people get married, they tend to keep their wedding outfit safe and sound. Most of us don’t use the clothes were worn again, but The Queen chose to bring out this tiara more than once.
Russian Fringe Tiara
Known as the Russian Fringe Tiara, Elizabeth II wore this on her wedding day to Phillip, and several times since. She wore it at a state banquet in Iceland in 1990, and it must have brought her wedding day back to her as she looked in the mirror.

The State Diadem
This piece is traditionally only worn by monarchs when they open Parliament. The Queen wore it in 2002, but it has been in the family for almost 200 years. It was first created in 1820 for King George IV, the Queen’s uncle, and has been a part of the Royal Collection ever since.
The State Diadem
Unlike many other pieces of jewelry worn by The Queen, this one seems only fit for a monarch and nobody else. It will be up to Charles to make it look good when he sits on the throne.

Flower Basket Brooch
This is a charming piece of jewelry given to The Queen by her parents after she gave birth to Prince Charles. It is a reminder to her of the miracle of childbirth but also something special for Elizabeth II to remember her parents by.
Flower Basket Brooch
She has owned it since 1948 and likes to bring it out on occasions to show the world. It’s not just necklaces and tiaras that The Queen loves, and she accompanies most outfits with a sparkling brooch.

Power move
It seems The Queen really cares a lot about her jewelry. Not only does she wear a lot of it, but she is generous enough to let her family borrow many pieces. It seems for the time being that generosity will no longer be extended to Meghan as she had cut her access.
Power move
Perhaps if she is satisfied with Meghan’s behavior in the future, she will once again open up the Royal Collection to the Duchess of Sussex.

All over a necklace
It seems that a lot of the drama surrounding Meghan and the Queen’s Royal Collection was sparked by the Duchess of Sussex hoping to wear a specific necklace. According to Gavin Gray, one of the royal commentators, Meghan desired to wear this piece from the collection and Harry gave her permission.
All over a necklace
However, the Queen then bit back telling her grandson that his wife doesn’t get to wear what she wants, no matter what. She’s the only one who gets to decide what someone can wear when it comes to the collection.

Unfair treatment
Understandably, this snub didn’t sit well with Harry. As much as he loves his grandmother, his heart lies with his wife. This rejection was just one in a long line that Meghan has apparently received since joining the Royal Family.
Unfair treatment
Harry reportedly fears that the Duchess of Sussex is being looked down on by everyone else, and that is causing tension between him and his relatives. If it continues in this way, there’s a good chance it could cause a rift that won’t be easy to repair.

Staying in line
The chain of command in the Royal Family is something that’s incredibly important to the Queen, and she’ll do whatever it takes to ensure that a sense of order remains in the monarchy. Of course, while it’s believed that Kate holds a stronger position than her sister-in-law, she’s still not above the rules.
Staying in line
Apparently, when the Duchess of Cambridge is at an event where her husband isn’t present, she’s expected to show deference to blood royals like her cousins Eugenie and Beatrice, despite being closer to the throne than the princesses.

Showing respect
This kind of consideration to other members of the family is important to the Queen to ensure that her bloodline continues to be respected. However, Kate only has to show this level of respect when William isn’t around.
Showing respect
If the Duchess of Cambridge attends an event with her husband, she only has to show deference to the people who sit above her in the pecking order – Charles, Camilla, and the Queen. Plus, she still gets the benefit of wearing whatever jewels from the Royal Collection that the monarch allows.

Never be the same
As for Meghan, she’s expected to follow exactly the same rules as her sister-in-law, just with the addition of one extra condition to meet. Whether she’s with Harry or not, the Duchess of Sussex is always expected to show respect to Kate in a way that doesn’t have to be reciprocated. ‘
Never be the same
The two women might share the same title, but they are by no means equal. Kate will always sit above Meghan because of William’s proximity to the throne, and nothing that Meghan does will ever change that.
