Lucknow: ‘The qehar of kesariya lehar’ failed miserably in creating any impact on ‘janata’ this time.
The assembly elections result in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Mizoram were announced yesterday. BJP tasted devastating defeat this time while Congress made a strong comeback.
Well, it was very shocking for the central ruling party that it could not retain power in states like Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh which used to be the stronghold of the party.
What could be the reason for the loss of BJP? Were they unable to fulfill their promises or the people were not satisfied with their work? Wait, one of the reasons can also be that BJP was focusing less on people’s problem and more on putting allegations on the oppositions (especially Congress).
Change is always eminent and this time it came as a wake up call for BJP with 2019 General Elections in view. We cannot predict what the future holds but after the results from yesterday, it is sure that people were willing for change.

The Bharatiya Janata Party had been ruling Madhya Pradesh for 15 years but it seems like this time the party could not stand on the expectations of the people and as a result, people went with Congress.
Recalling the public rallies addressed by BJP leaders during poll campaigns, it was clearly visible that the party was less serious about development and only about denouncing the opposition leaders.
Wait, let us clear the work of opposition; What opposition do is they accuse the ruling government for each small things happened in the nation but that does not mean that the ruling government should distract their focus from their actual responsibilities and start fighting and mocking opposition for their statements.
Making the issue of opposition’s statement will not help the governing party in winning any election. We should never forget that in a democratic country, power is always in the hand of people and once the party fails in gaining the trust of people, it can never rule any part of the country.
BJP should also understand that Congress consistently failed to play the role of an opposition and the people themselves joined their hands to raise their own demands.
The biggest mistake which BJP made was it started treating Congress as their enemy and gave less priority to other matters which as a result gave birth to lots of issues that brought the downfall of the BJP.
We all know that Congress was never in an opposition politics in Gujarat. The backward and Dalit communities of the state started organising popular protests which gave birth to new leaders like Hardik Patel and Jignesh Mevani.
In Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and other states, the helpless farmers took unusual steps to register grievances. They marched thousands of miles on foot to Mumbai and Delhi, threw their produce on roads demanding sustainable prices. Many farmers also committed suicide as they failed to pay their loans.
In politics, we always see voices saying Ram Mandir should be built, just when the elections are few months away. Indians are very religious. While, all other parties have different aspects for elections, BJP tried to play with the sentiments of people.
BJP did not even spare Lord Hanuman to win the support of SC/ST community. As many people are saying, this miserable defeat in these states is the ‘Prashad’ given by Lord Hanuman himself.
