Times cats accidentally camouflaged themselves too well

Times cats accidentally camouflaged themselves too well
Love them or hate them, you can’t deny that cats are one of nature’s greatest creations. Indeed, back before house cats were domesticated, they were excellent hunters. Even though these cats don’t need to hunt for their food anymore, they haven’t lost their ability to blend in with the background.
Let him sleep in peace
Whether intentional or not, this kitty seems to have hidden himself within the fur of another furry friend. Although dogs and cats are sometimes depicted as enemies, we can see that that is far from the case.
Let him sleep in peace
By laying on top of his canine friend, this feline has ensured that no one will disturb his slumber. That is, until the dog wakes up of course.

Sinkhole
This kitty has curled up in the sink and we don’t think it could be any cuter. It seems as if the size of the sink was perfectly constructed to meet this cat’s needs. This little one has curled up into a ball and found himself a nice place to take a nap.
Sinkhole
While you would think that this cat might hurt his back, cat’s are actually incredible flexible. Cat spines have an elastic cushioning on the vertebrae so that these guys can twist and turn as much as they want.

103 Dalmatians
We know that Cruella de Vil wanted to make her infamous coat out of Dalmatian skins, but do you think she would be okay if there a cat skin in there, too? Okay – sorry if that’s a bit too graphic.
103 Dalmatians
Nevertheless, you can’t deny that this little kitty blends perfectly into the fur of his canine friend. Cats love to be warm, and we’re certain that the temperature of this dog provides fantastic heat to the black and white kitty. The dog is like a personal heater.

Princess Diana would approve
The cat honestly looks like he has the longest and most elaborate coat of fur. The way the kitty just blends right in to the rug is absolutely flawless, and we certainly can’t tell where one ends and the other begins.
Princess Diana would approve
The only train we’ve ever seen (dress train OR fur train) we’ve ever seen that could even compare to this image is Princess Diana’s famous wedding dress. Nevertheless, we’ll leave the judgment up to as to which is more elaborate and beautiful. (We think it’s the cat’s fur train!)

Personal guard
This dog is guarding his cat so well that enemies would never be able to find her. It even looks as if when this picture was taken, those protection instincts kicked in for the dog. He seems to be saying “no photos, please!”
Personal guard
These two are almost the exact some color, and we wonder if their owners adopted these animals at the same time or not. Some people like to coordinator their pets by name, and – as we see here – others like to coordinate by color.

Runway goddess
There are many who have dreams of being an aspiring model, but it seems that dream is not only restricted to humans. You might say this positioning was not the cat’s original intention, but we’d have to – very respectfully – disagree.
Runway goddess
Look at the title of that head and the flaring of the ears. The cat knows that he’s got the goods and he’s showing them of wonderfully. Abercrombie & Fitch is definitely lucky to have such a talented model working for them for free.

Part of the gang
Can you really blame this cat for snuggling up with the stuffed animals? All he wants to be is included in their little friend group. Why should everyone else get to hang out with each other while the cat sleeps in the corner?
Part of the gang
The cat wasn’t having this, and so he marched his way up to the stuffed animals and – apparently – fit right in. It’s always better to have a group of friends you can do everything would, and it looks like this little kitty has found the place where he belongs.

If I can’t see them
Remember when you were little and you thought that if you couldn’t see your mom then she couldn’t see you? How old were you when you finally discovered that your favorite hiding place was actually quite obvious?
If I can’t see them
It appears as though this little kitty never learned that such is not the case. Nonetheless, we see her outline quite clearly. We know you’re under that sheet! Still, we’ll let her live under the impression that she’s hidden. It probably makes her happy.

She’s just a little shy
This kitty went even further than the rest of them. She didn’t try to blend in with her surroundings. Rather, she attempted to hide from her surroundings altogether. She probably would have been able to hide quite well in the bag, however, it it hadn’t been for those big round eyes.
She’s just a little shy
Not wanting to miss out what was happening in the world, this sneaky little one made sure to keep an eye things. Her curiosity got the best of her hiding spot – because her owner managed to find her.

A golden fluff ball
All that glitters is gold, as they say. All, that is, except for this cat. If this cat was glittering then we’d be able to spot him much more easily. Cats definitely don’t like to have their belly scratched – at least, not one that we’ve ever met.
A golden fluff ball
Nevertheless, the way this kitty is laying down makes us want to scratch his tummy, give him some love, and call him a good boy. We’ll restrain ourselves however, because we don’t think that will end well.

Peek-a-boo
Does this cat have you questioning reality? We definitely think that the kitty would love to stick his head inside this giant bag of food. The optical illusion makes it look as though the face on the bag of cat food is the real face of the kitty.
Peek-a-boo
In reality, this cat could look much different than the picture of the one on bag. If we saw a cat doing this, we would certainly have to take a second glance to recognize that there’s actually a separation between the cat and bag.

Sleeping like a log
It actually took us a solid two days to find the cat in this picture, so if you’re having a bit of trouble we don’t blame you. We know that the saying ‘sleeping like a log’ means that someone is sleeping really well, but this cat takes the meaning to an entirely new level.
Sleeping like a log
He has managed to hide himself so well that don’t think even someone with the best eyesight would be able to find him. One would need to watch very closely for the “log” slowly rising up and down.

Grass kitty, that pretty kitty
Hopefully this little kitty cat is not allergic to grass, because she would have some serious scratching to after she left her hiding place. We understand that blending in with nature is one way to conceal yourself from danger. That’s the main reason, in fact, why the army uniform colors are referred to as ‘camouflage.’
Grass kitty, that pretty kitty
Nonetheless, even though she’s trying her hardest, this kitty is anything but hidden. We can see her plainly within her grass cave. That’s okay, we’ll let her keep living under the illusion that she’s hidden. Good job, kitty!

Fresh linens please
Imagine stepping in your hotel room. You see the beautiful and large bed, and you walk over ready to crash after a long journey. Unexpectedly, there is a cat on your bed! What’s the deal? You wanted fresh linens!
Fresh linens please
Truthfully, if there was a cat in our hotel bed we wouldn’t be that mad. This white kitty looks like she’s ready to do some serious cuddling. Cat’s love to cuddle, and we’re certain cuddling with this cat would make the vacation that much better.

Hanging with the crew
For those of you who have ever had to stay at home alone, you’ll know just how lonely it can get. The same goes for pets, who, by nature, are social beings. Therefore, can we really blame this kitty for wanting to hang out with his friends?
Hanging with the crew
Actually, the cats on the shower curtain might even be his family, considering they’re all the same color. All this good little kitty wanted to be amongst cats who are like him. We just get a little confused about which one he is.

Avoiding work at all costs
Sometimes when you go into the office, all you feel like doing is napping. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was some secret hiding place at work for you to this? Well, this cat has found the ideal location to take a break from his work. Can you spot him?
Avoiding work at all costs
He’s in the very top-left corner of this picture, right next to the panda bear. You can see his little ears poking out from under the book shelf. This cat didn’t want to be found, so don’t tell him we told you where he was hidden!

It’s all about placement
What an absolutely cute picture. This cat has perfectly placed himself on top of the black cat that has been imprinted on the rug. It’s literally as if this cute black kitty could be a part of the decor of the house.
It’s all about placement
His placement couldn’t be more perfect. Cats don’t have the best eyesight, but maybe he just felt something inside him motivating him to lay down in this exact spot. It’s a good thing his owners snapped a picture instead of stepping on him.

In ancient times
Cats were considered sacred in Ancient Egypt, and were often depicted as strong warriors. Well, after you’ve found the hidden and mysterious cat in this picture take a look at his spear right next to him.
In ancient times
It seems as though this sacred kitty is protecting his shelf. No one is to try to mess with him, or else he will come at you with this spear. Okay, maybe not. But he still looks rather regal with his slick black hair and his piercing yellow eyes.

Somebody’s watching me
Talk about stealth! This cat has chosen the perfect place to hide from his family and spy on all the happenings that go on in the house. If we saw these big yellow eyes peering through the bag, however, we’d be seriously creeped out.
Somebody’s watching me
We all know by now that cats like to settle themselves in small place, but just how comfortable can a plastic bag be? We’re seriously hoping this kitty doesn’t pounce on anyone walking by the bag.

Goal!
Although we don’t think that the ball was on the bed before the cat, the two definitely resemble one another. What we really think happened was that the cat sat down on the bed to – uh – clean himself and his owner thought he looked just like the soccer ball!
Goal!
One important thing to note, however: Don’t kick the cat! One of these things you can kick and it will score you a goal, and the other you can kick and probably end up getting scratched. Don’t mix the two up.

A piece of paper
We’re not exactly sure why this little one wanted to blend in with the toilet paper. Nevertheless, it seems she has accomplished her goal. Not only does she flow right in the the color palette of the of toilet paper, however, but she has also made a complete mess of things.
A piece of paper
If you own a cat, you’ll know just how pesky these little guys can be. They like to knock over water glass and – obviously – make a mess out of common household toiletries.

Studious bookworm
This cat wants to brush up on his music knowledge, and so he has – apparently – decided to bury himself in some books. This kitty plans to learn all about great operas, as well as Spanish songs.
Studious bookworm
By the time he’s done reading all these books, he might even be able to compose his very own symphony. Studying music is hard, but we have faith that this little guy is going to be a master. Don’t look at him while he’s reading though, because he is very shy.

Snowball
No – don’t know if the name of this cat is actually Snowball. Still, it would make a lot of sense if that were the case. We can’t tell where ‘Snowball’ ends and the rug begins. It seems this cat his quite literally merged with his surrounding.
Snowball
Good thing this rug was laid over the couch, otherwise ‘Snowball’ was in serious danger of being stepped on. Good thing these owners don’t have to worry about the shedding, because the hair will only add to the elegant rug.

Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree
Alright, we’re gonna give this one away because this cat has hidden herself impeccably. Cats are particularly skilled at climbing trees, and love to do so whenever they get the chance.
Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree
Trees are useful, especially for cats in the wild, because the cat can hide up there with their prey. If a cat thinks that someone else is going to come along and try to steal their well-earned food, then climbing up a tree is a nice solution. We don’t think this kitty had any prey to hide. He just wanted to exercise his climbing muscles.

Cat wash
Well, that’s certainly one way to get clean. In truth, cats actually love being clean. They’ll spend hours everyday licking themselves just to make sure their fur is nice and pristine. One study even suggests that cats devote about 50 percent of time they are awake cleaning themselves.
Cat wash
Maybe this cat didn’t get the memo, however, because he seems to want someone else to do the cleaning for him. Get out of the little kitty! The dishwasher definitely cannot be a safe place for a cat to get a wash.

Don’t box her in
If you’ve ever owned a cat and brought a cardboard box home, then you’ll know how much kitties love to step inside these things. There’s an entire safety element that the cat feels when she’s surrounded by four walls.
Don’t box her in
Maybe she even thinks that nobody will be able to find her in her box. It seems this cat owner anticipated the cat’s desire, because the owner had a little fun drawing on the box. This kitty is standing in the perfect place to make it look as though she’s standing up.

A fuzzy image
We had to squint our eyes to make out the cat in this pictures. The fuzzy little guy has clearly chosen his place on the rug wisely because no one will spot him here. All day he can rest without anyone bothering him.
A fuzzy image
Cats typically sleep anywhere between 12 and 16 hours a day. Obviously, the rest of the world does not sleep that much, and so this cat had to find a place where the rest of the world couldn’t find him. Well played.

Hidden in plain sight
Wow, this cat seriously found the best environment ever for hiding himself. All the lines and shapes going in different directions makes it very hard indeed for any predator to find him. Actually, it was particularly hard for us as well to find him, so we’re gonna help you out a bit – if you’d like. (If not, stop reading!)
Hidden in plain sight
He is on the right hand side of the picture, right below the pavement line. He’s standing in front of the stack of rocks. If you can’t find him now, you never will. Excellent job, kitty cat!

3-D painting
This little kitty sought some alone time when he hid behind this picture. All he wanted was some peace and quiet and to be left alone during his cat nap. Truthfully, he couldn’t have picked a more perfect place to rest his eyes for a little.
3-D painting
Presumably, this picture is of the real cat that’s hidden behind it. The only reason we know the difference between this little guy and his painting is the fact that his tail sticks out. This could be considered a 3-D work of art.

A loaf of bread
While we can obviously tell which here is the cat and which are the loaves of bread, it’s definitely a funny place for a cat to lay down. The kitty has even positioned himself in such a way that makes it look like he is the same shape as the loaves.
A loaf of bread
Hopefully, the owners were able to remove the cat soon enough that the bread would not be covered in hair. We like cats and we love bread – but we prefer to keep the two separate.

What’s for dinner?
Domesticated cats have gotten used to their owners providing food for them. It’s why they come home at night. Did you think it was because they loved you? This cat, however, seems to be demanding something more than the typical dry cat food.
What’s for dinner?
It appears as though Fancy Feast won’t even do the trick for this kitty. Maybe there was something fishy in the refrigerator that this little one just couldn’t resist. People often spoil their pets but we think this takes things to a whole new level.

New fashion trend
This looks like the type of hat you would wear on a cold winter day, maybe somewhere in the north of Russia. Oh wait – that’s not only a hat! It’s a cat on a hat!
New fashion trend
Perhaps this is the the cat that served as inspiration for Dr. Seuss who wrote his beloved book ‘Cat in the Hat.’ If you put this hat on, and the cat managed to stay on top of your head, you would actually be quite warm.

Tubular, dude
Alright, now this kitty isn’t exactly camouflaging himself. Still, he definitely picked a very unique place to hide. Despite the fact that cats are incredibly flexible, we still can’t imagine that this a comfortable spot for him.
Tubular, dude
If we had to take a guess, this kitty was messing around with the curtains and got a little wrapped up. The curtains moved in a way that he didn’t expect them to… you get the idea. Hopefully his owner helped him out of this situation after she snapped the pic.

Secret musician
Everyone knows that cats have nine lives, but we think that this cat is actually living a double life. By day, this is a normal house cat who likes to walk around the house and stare out the window.
Secret musician
By night, however, this cat is a gifted piano player, whose talents rival that of Beethoven and Joplin. It’s too bad we’ll never get to hear him play though, because cats are extremely secretive. His owners were lucky to have captured this photo. He was just waiting for them to go to sleep.

The woes of a post office worker
Although this cat looks ridiculously grumpy, he’s truthfully no more unhappy than the other workers who are employed by the United States Postal Service. Have you every been the post office in the US?
The woes of a post office worker
The resemblance between the workers and this cat are uncanny. At least this little one has found a hiding place in which to rest his eyes. Often, the postal service workers will take a quick nap right in front of you – even when the line is about a mile long. (Still – we want to thank all the USPS for their hard work.)

Moooove over
Is it a cat? Is it a cow? Perhaps it’s some kind of weird combination of the two species. Just kidding! Of course, this little kitty is just black and white – but he certainly blends in with that cow-hide rug.
Moooove over
Imagine if instead of saying meow, this kitty cat busted out a “mooh.” That would certainly be something to behold now wouldn’t it? Truth is, we have no idea just what cats’ brains are capable of – so this one could be totally aware of his resemblance to cow.

Jungle cat
This adorable little kitten hasn’t quite learned how to masterfully conceal himself in his surroundings yet. We can you in there! Still you have to give him props for hiding out amongst nature.
Jungle cat
Perhaps he is remembering a time when all the members of the feline family used to hang out in the jungle. We think that if there is a mouse running by, this little kitty will still be able to pounce. He has to be quick though. It’s survival of the fittest out here.

Yin and yang
Can you see the white cat? Good – because that’s not the one that’s hiding from view. His counterpart – the yin to his yang, so to speak – is hiding on the the other side.
Yin and yang
Not only does he blend very well into his little cat bed, but his white kitty friend serves as a distraction to those who seek him out. Black cats often get a bad reputation for being unlucky, but we think they are honestly really calming and balancing (just like the yin yang sign!).

Choose wisely
Choose which ones you want to put on your feet, because there are some serious consequences is you choose incorrectly. The black slippers are very cute and look extremely comfortable.
Choose wisely
However, it you should accidentally step on this kitty, you’re foot might get seriously messed up. Just imagine you’re chilling on the floor and someone comes along and tries to put you and their foot. You certainly wouldn’t take that experience too well, and neither would this cat.

Tortoiseshell tile
Which came first – the tiles or the cat? Whatever the answer is, it seems like the two blend perfectly together. The only reason we know there is a cat in this picture at all is because of those big beautiful yellow eyes. This tortoiseshell cat is a wonderful mix of orange and black, making it represent Halloween all year long.
Tortoiseshell tile
Did you know that tortoiseshells have a reputation for having very large personalities. While there’s not scientific data to back up this claim, we’re sure that this cat knows how to make an impression.
